Douglas J. Hill

Leads the firm with extensive expertise in real estate, business law, estate planning, and more.

Douglas Hill, spearheading HMH Law Offices, brings over 40 years of legal experience to the table. Admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1983 after graduating with honors from Queen's University, his expertise has flourished across various legal domains.

Doug is a well-rounded attorney adept at navigating the complexities of real estate law, business law, and estate planning. He actively offers presentations sharing his knowledge to real estate investors and interested parties. Doug remains a committed member of the Barrie Real Estate Lawyers Association since 1981.

Mark D.W. Weir

Focuses on real estate and wills & estate planning, bringing valuable experience to your case.

Mark Weir brings over 10 years of legal experience to HMH Law Offices. After earning a degree in Economics from the University of Victoria, and a J.D. from Thompson Rivers University, Mark was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 2015 and the Ontario Bar in 2017. After spending several years working in insurance defence litigation, Mark joined HMH in 2018.

Mark’s practice focuses on assisting clients in protecting their assets and keeping what they’ve earned. Coming from the world of litigation, Mark understands the stress, time, and cost of entering the courtroom. Whether it’s facilitating a real estate transaction, creating an estate plan, or drafting a domestic contract, Mark strives to find the most cost effect and efficient path for his clients.

Outside of the office Mark enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the Simcoe County Trails with his Australian Shepherd, Molly.
